Tarraco Race 2012
Last weekend we saw Tarraco Race 2012, held at Santa Oliva Track, near Mediterranean.
Both forecasts, racing and weather were good. So that Robert Batlle was clear dominator of the event and the weather was warm and Sunny.

Winter Challenge Hobby Auto
Last weekend we saw the 1st Round (1/3) for the Hobby Auto Winter challenge. Took place at Santa Perpetua track.

Robert Batlle & Merlin Fuel are 2011 Spanish Champions
Last weekend the last round of Spanish 1/8 Off-Roads Nats was held at Fuencarral (Madrid).
Under a typical a summer weather, 122 drivers took part in the race.
Robert Batlle was the main favorite for the title. A 4th place in the race was enough to secure his 6th Nat Championship. Also Borja Hernández and Richi Gómez were involved in the fight and they had serious options finishing ahead Batlle.
After a discreet first heat, Robert Batlle was first in Q2 and Q3, taking the TQ, followed by Bryan Baldó and Borja Hernández.
A Main final was a close fight between Batlle and Alberto García who was racing at his home track. Finally Robert managed to get a good pace and took some gap over Alberto García who finished second ahead former European Champion Dani Vega, also racing at home.

After this last Round, Robert takes his 6th Spanish Nats, followed by Borja Hernández and Richi Gómez.
So it was a brilliant season for Batlle and Merlin Fuel, after having won the European Title, Spanish Nats, Euro Warmup among others.

El pasado fin de semana se disputó la 5ª prueba puntuable para el Cto. de Cataluña TT.

Con este resultado, Jaume Figuls se asegura el campeonato 2011
Novarossi Summer Challenge 2011
Despite the name “summer” the weather was not good, and the heavy rain, made the organizators postpone the race to Oct 1st and 2nd.
However, on mid Sunday the track was allright and there was a lot of drivers willing to race. So that still keeping in mind the new dates, they did a small race with 5 min qualyfing and 30 min. final.
This was the top 3:
1. Robert Batlle (ES) – Mugen – Novarossi – Merlin Advance - 47 laps
2. Adam Drake (USA) – TLR – Novarossi – 46 laps
3. Walter Floris (ITA) – TLR – Novarossi – 44 laps

Novarossi Summer Challenge
Este fin de semana se ha disputado en Italia el Novarossi Summer Challenge 2011. A pesar del nombre veraniego de la carrera, la lluvia hizo acto de presencia y se acordó postoponer la carrera al 1 y 2 de Ocutbre.
Sin emabargo, a pesar de mantener esas fechas, a media mañana del Domingo la pista era practicable. Viendo el importante número de pilotos que habían acudido, algunos de ellos llegando desde USA, se hizo una clasificatoria de 5 min y una final de 30 min.
Los tres primeros clasificados:
1. Robert Batlle (ES) – Mugen – Novarossi – Merlin Advance - 47 laps
2. Adam Drake (USA) – TLR – Novarossi – 46 laps
3. Walter Floris (ITA) – TLR – Novarossi – 44 laps
Robert Batlle takes Italian Nats. Rd. 4
Last weekend Robert Batlle travelled to Viggu (Italy) to take part in the Italian Nats as a guest driver.
He managed to TQ and win the main final.
Top 3:
1. Robert Batlle – Mugen / Nova / Merlin Fuel - 63 – 45:06.21
2. Ricardo Rabitti – TLR / Picco – 63 – 45:34.62
3. Davide Tortorici – Hobao / Sirio – 62 – 45:22.88
So, Robert adds a new victory to a impressive season starting, including Spanish Nats 1 & 2, Euros Warmup and a 2nd place in Neo 2011 among others

So that, Batlle complete a great weekend for Merlin in Spain, together with the current 1/8 onroad champion Óscar Cabezas who took the victory in 1/8 on Road RD. 2
