Winter Black Jack Race
Last weekend Nbr Mol organised the final race of their winter blackjack race. Blackjack means heats of 21 minutes for everybody, so no qualifications, finals etc. just 21 minutes of racing. The fastest heat of the weekend would be the winner.
The complete weekend was very wet so all drivers were very happy with the big heated tent Nbr had placed.
Buggy class had 3 heats with Belgian, Dutch and German drivers. Jorg Van Leuken competed all heats with Markus Feldman and Paul Geelen. After 5 heats Jorg Van Leuken managed 31 rounds with only 3 seconds less as Markus Feldman. Paul Geelen toke third place.
The final championship ranking we saw youngster Sander Van Genechten take victory.
Truggy class also had 2 heats with international drivers. Rc-Speedhouse boss Bjorn Nagels won 3 out of 5 heats but had to leave 1st place to Kris Verlies. The final championship was a close battle which Bjorn Nagels won.

Truggy Cup Rd. 7 travelling from Oberhausen to Helmond
Last weekend took place the 7th Rd. of Truggy Cup at Helmond. Coming from Oberhousen where we used to have a good friend (rest in Peace), who predicted the Spanish victory at World Cup, Paul the Octopus.
We do not know for sure if Paul had time enough before dying to predict also Bas De Konik victory in last round.
Unfortunately Helmond track appeared really wet on sunday morning. The attendance was not so high as in previuos rounds, maybe becasue of the weather forecast.

2 – Dave Liekens (Merlin Fuel)

Truggy Cup – Oberhausen
Last weekend the drivers of the Truggycup were racing at the great track of Oberhausen.
Together with this event there was a round of NRW cup.
These 2 cups resulted in 68 drivers on sunday morning.
The weather was dry and the people of Stoppelhopser Oberhausen had everything under control to make it a great day.
TQ was taken by the Xray of Jorg van Leuken, in front of Dave Liekens (mugen mbx6T) and Kris Verlies (Losi).
Main final was mixed truggycup and Nrw which resulted in 8 truggycup and 4 nrw drivers.
From the start of the final dutch Jorg van Leuken and Belgian Dave Liekens ran away, they were both to strong for all other competitors. After 30 minutes the gap between Jorg van Leuken and Dave Liekens was only 3 seconds, so very close racing. Jorg van Leuken took victory in front of Dave Liekens and Bas de Konink.

Copa Truggy 2009 Holanda – 1ª Prueba
El podium final fue el siguiente;
1. Jorg Van Leuken (Xray – Novarossi – Merlin Fuel)
2. Jan Van Dick (Losi)
3. Jan Paul Appel (Xray – Siim — Merlin Fuel)

Do you want to marry me?
This is what happened in the 2nd round of Truggy Cup in the Netherlands at Hoeske Watersport Vereninging
Asking for a wedding right in the track. Well… over the track powered by a 0.28 engine…

Will you marry me? – Picture from Truggy.nl
Jean Paul Appel, is regularly racing the Brother Cup in the Netherlands, but he is also known for his pit work on his girlfriend’s Truggy in the Netherlands Truggy Cup.
The Netherlands Truggy Cup Rd2 took place last Sunday and Jean Paul had a surprise for his girlfriend. He prepared a special body shell. In the picture you may read “Brenda, wil je me mit trouwen” (Brenda Do you want to marry me?)
He was asking Brenda Schutten his formerly girlfriend and now fiance who said yes almost with the finalist trophy in her hand. ,

Brenda got two trophies – Picture from Truggy.nl
We do not know if next step will be to get married in the drivers rostrum. Congratulations for them from Merlin Fuel Staff.
