Last Sunday the 1/8 BRCA Championship was held in a new facility near Brighton.

Here is the full report from Redrc.net:Mark Green wins BRCA 1/8th Rd5:

«Last weekend, the 1/8th Section visited a new circuit on the South coast of Brighton. The track is formed from a single strip of tarmac with the layout painted over with rope and plastic tubing forming the barriers. In theory, it looked from the outset that the track is too small for the modern day 1/8th chassis but after making the necessary chassis and gear ratio changes, the track became fun to drive. The track is also very smooth so running the car on low tires would help cornering, allow the engine to rev higher along the short back straight and through the infield with no worry of running out of fuel or the chassis bottoming out.

Saturday was a wet day and the track never dried out. A small number of drivers tried wet tyres and then retreated back to the hotels. Andy North decided to do some further

The overall 1:8 On Road championship took place from July 8 to July 12th in Hildesheim south of Hanover.

Robin D’Hondt has sent us a report about the race:

«Here it is;

Last week the German championship of all regions was held at the track of Hildesheim.
Weather conditions from wednesday till sunday were not good. The track went constantly from dry to wet, so grip never really was constant …

so we all had little practice but the track had a very smooth line all around and after some small changes to my setup from Lostallo the car felt really good, smooth and reliable.

In qualifications i had 2 out of 5 dry qualifications, in the first Robert Pietsch had 23 laps in 5.13 and i had 22 laps in 4.59. In the last lap i ran out of fuel. (fastest lap 13.3)

In the second qualification i did get the 5 minutes and got 23 laps in 5.13, but Robert also improved his qualification to 5.12. After qualifications Eric Dankel and Patrick Schaeffer filled the top 4 with 22 laps

The Nordic European Chamipoships took place last weekend at Gotherborg track (Sweden).

Alexander Hagberg took the final victory and he has sent us a report about the race.

Merlin Fuel dominates Nordic Championships

The Nordic European Championships were held at the beautiful Väst-8 facility in Gothenburg, Sweden. I arrived at the track on Wednesday before the race to run in new engines and fine tune my starting setup.
The car felt good from the start and I went faster as traction gradually increased.

In qualifying I could win all 4 rounds easily with an overall TQ time of 4 seconds in front of Mugen driver Mikael Fransson. My TQ run was the quickest ever on this track and I also set a new lap record of 14.95. Norwegian XRAY driver Adrian Berntsen showed a good pace and could qualify as 3rd overall. Martin Christensen from Denmark ran a prototype Shepherd car, but had various technical problems and could only manage 4th spot.

For the final the weather was

Last weekend the Årsunda Track held the 2nd round of 1:10 Swedish Nats.

Our Team Driver, Per-Ola hard, took the final vitory, TQ’ed and set a new laptime record in the track.

He has sent us a  report about the Race:

«Swedish National Series R:2
In the weekend of 23-24:th of May the second round of the Swedish national series was held in the middle of Sweden in a village called Årsunda.

The track is very technical and nowadays a bit bumpy so demanding for both the car and the setup, so some of the drivers started to practice allready on the Friday to get to know the track. Myself and some other drivers arrived Saturday morning to a wet track after some light rain the evening before, traction was very low so it was decided together with the drivers to add a little bit of sugar water during controlled practice to get the track in decent shape.

Saturday saw four rounds of qualifying first three dry ones in good weather and the last fourth one unfortunately
