Last weekend the Årsunda Track held the 2nd round of 1:10 Swedish Nats.

Our Team Driver, Per-Ola hard, took the final vitory, TQ’ed and set a new laptime record in the track.

He has sent us a  report about the Race:

«Swedish National Series R:2
In the weekend of 23-24:th of May the second round of the Swedish national series was held in the middle of Sweden in a village called Årsunda.

The track is very technical and nowadays a bit bumpy so demanding for both the car and the setup, so some of the drivers started to practice allready on the Friday to get to know the track. Myself and some other drivers arrived Saturday morning to a wet track after some light rain the evening before, traction was very low so it was decided together with the drivers to add a little bit of sugar water during controlled practice to get the track in decent shape.

Saturday saw four rounds of qualifying first three dry ones in good weather and the last fourth one unfortunately

El pasado fin de semana, se disputó la primera prueba del Cto. Nacional de Suecia 1:10.
Alexander Hargberg, de 19 años es un piloto que en los últimos años ha alcanzado buenas clasificaciones en el modelismo eléctrico;

6º Clasificado en el Europeo 2008 Asfalto 1:10
4º Clasificado en el Europeo 2009 Indoor
3er. clasificado en el Cto. Europa 2007 1:12
Entre otros.
Sin embargo, este año ha decidido probar las sensaciones del térmico y para ello ha elegido Xray NT1- Max Power – Merlin Fuel
Alexander, se ha hecho con la victoria en al primera prueba del Cto. de Suecia 1:10 Pista. en la que era su primera carrera con motor térmico.

Alexander Hargberg has recently joined Merlin Fuel Team.
Alexander is a well known dirver in EP Racing, 1:10 and 1:12th scales.

This year he will be racing nitro for first time, in preparation for the  2010 EC in Gothenburg. He has sent us this report about his first ever Nitro powered race.

The 3 Rd. for Catalunya Reg. Championship was held in Montjuic Track, the same that held a few days ago the 2nd Round of Spanish Nats.

This time, the weather was sunny and the race could be  finished.

El Domingo 3 de Mayo se disputó la tercera pruena del campeonato de Cataluña 1:8TT en el circuito de Montjuic, el mismo que acogió hace unos días la segunda prueba del Cto. de España.
Esta vez, la meteorología fue propicia, y la prueba se pudo disputar sin contratiempos.

The 2nd Rd. of Spanish Nat Championship, was held in Montjuic track (Barcelona), near the Olympic Stadium.

107 Drivers attended the race. Saturday was sunny and clear with nothing remarkable.
After the qualifying rounds the provisional classification was the following:

On Sunday morning while 1/16th final, the sky turned unexpectedly black and the «great flood» happened over Barcelona track.

The track was half flooded and race director decided to cancel the Race. Some drivers were disappointed because 30 minutes later the Sun appeared again, and they thought they could have completed the race.

Las chicas también corren…. y ganan.

El pasado fin de semana se disputó en Bamberg, de forma simultánea al Cto. Nac. 1:8 División Oeste, la prueba correspondiente al Cto. División Sur.

A la prueba, acudieron algunos pilotos Belgas, como Robin D’Hondt.

La jornada del Sábado fue poco fructífera debido a la lluvia intermitente que no permitió rodar en buena parte del día y se saldó con la siguiente clasificación;

1.Robin D’Hondt – Motonica – Novarossi – Merlin Fuel – TQ
2.Sabrina Lechner – Serpent – Picco IDM – Merlin fuel
3. Dominik Maier
4. Maximilian Vogel

El Domingo, las nubes por fin dejaron paso al Sol y el resto de la prueba, se pudo disputar con normalidad.

En las 3 primeras vueltas Robin D’Hondt marcó un ritmo que le puso líder destacado, pero duró poco ya que un golpe con uno de los «chinos» del circuito acabó con sus posibilidades de victoria.

El pasado fin de semana se disputó en el Club Capa de Parla (Madrid) la 1ª copa Hispana en la modalidad 1:10 200 mm.


51 pilotos disputaron una prueba en la que participaron bastantes habituales de las finales del Cto. de España.

Iñaki Pahissa, se adjudicó la Pole en las clasificatorias, siendo el único piloto en completar 13 vueltas en el magnífico trazado del Club CAPA.

La final fue  de las que hacen afición. Varios cambios de líder durante la prueba, Rodrigo Pahissa remontando desde las últimas posiciones hasta un segundo puesto que perdió en el último suspiro, «montonera» inicial al estilo fórmula 1, lucha sin cuartel por las plazas de honor. Todos los ingredientes para disfrutar de un día de carreras en el que el buen tiempo también quiso sumarse a la celebración de esta prueba.

El resultado final fue el siguiente:

Last Sunday the Cerdanyola Modelcar Track, near Barcelona, held the 1st round of the Spanish 1:10 200mm. Championship. The event drew 84 drivers ready to open 2009 season.
Xabier Arana TQ’ed, followed by Rodrigo Pahissa, Iñaky Pahissa and Johnny Pastor, after an intense Qualifying Saturday.

The main Final, was clearly dominated by Iñaky Pahissa who took the first position after the first pit-stop and kept it for the whole race.
The fight for the 2-4th places was very interesting and we saw 5 drivers fighting and swapping positions to reach the honor places. Bad luck for TQ Xabier Arana who lost his 3rd. place 3 minutes before the race Finish. Rodrigo Pahissa was right behind him and took his opportunity to step on the podium together with his brother.

Rodrigo Pahissa, made the fastest lap in Main final and set a new Track laptime record.
